Draft Constitution 2008 is Out

12 March 2008 - The proposed new constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was published earlier this week. On 10 May a national referendum will be held where at least 50 per cent of votes will be needed to approve the constitution for it to become law. Quick reference:

Myanmar Airways International resumed flights to two Southeast Asian capitals

7 January 2008 - The Myanmar Airways International (MAI) resumed its flight services from Yangon to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur starting the middle of January after the services for the two routes were suspended for about three months. (Source: People's Daily)
