Rambutan

Rambutan is famous for its refreshing mildly sweet fruit concealed under an exotic hairy red shell.  Rambutan is originally a native of Malaysia and thrives in the climate of tropical countries, particularly those of Southeast Asia.  Its name comes from Malay and means "hairy" fruit.

It is distinguishable by 10 equidistant ridges which run from stem to tip. They must be removed with a vegetable peeler, but in tender young gourds the rest of the green skin is left on and is edible.

Chin-baung:  Hisbiscus sandariffa - Roselle is a popular vegetable of Myanmar people. It is used to make thin soup, fry, or even make jam out of roselle buds.
